Nityananda Yuvarani hot videos: Another shock waiting

Famous godman of Tamil Nadu Nityananda Paramahamsa’s sex scandal again came to the attention of the media. News reports are saying that Nityananda Yuvarani hot video is now doing rounds over the Internet. Various porn websites are offering to download Nityananda Yuvarani hot video. Yuvarani is a Tamil actress. She appeared with South Indian superstar, Rajinikanth, in Baasha.

Many people are searching for the Nityananda Yuvarani hot video. I found some download links but I did not post them because they are poor quality websites. I also found some video clips of Yuvarani which are also very poor quality

On March 2, 2010, news of Nityananda’s scandal came out. Popular Tamil TV channel, Sun TV broadcasted a video clip where the godmen was seen frolicking with another Tamil actress, Ranjitha. Ranjitha worked as a heroine in Tamil cinema in the 90s. She was introduced by Bharathiraja in Nadodi Thendral. She then played the role of female lead in Sathyaraj’s Amaithipadai. After getting married, Ranjitha started working in TV serials. Roja is one of her popular serial.

The news of Nityananda’s sex scandal sent a shockwave all over India. Immediately after the news, angry mob ransacked various institutions established by Nityananda. News reports said that the video clip was secretly recorded by one of the disciples of Nityananda named Nithya Dharmananda alias Lenin. He even claimed that he has more DVDs of Nityananda. Police charged several cases on Nityananda including rape, cheating, and unnatural sex. Karnataka police is now looking for the godman.

It is a pity that Nityananda had sex with some low profile actresses. He has really bad test for women. He should have gone for top actresses of the South Indian cinema.

Nithyananda’s statement comes in the wake of charges, including rape and criminal conspiracy, filed against him by the Central Crime Branch (CCB) of the city police, following a complaint lodged by his former disciple, Nithya Dharmananda alias K. Lenin.

In the statement, Nithyananda claimed that he was innocent and the video content that was aired was in no way connected to him and his Dharmapeetam.

“We are in the process of collecting evidence on the persons behind the false video footage. Very soon the truth will be unearthed and I will come before the media with necessary evidence,” he said in his 4-minute video statement.

“We are unaware of the contents of the FIR filed against Swamiji as the police have neither submitted it to the concerned magistrate nor given a copy to us. We are ready to face the case legally and will prove Swamiji’s innocence,” said Mr. Shreedhar. “We are likely to receive a copy of the FIR tomorrow [on Monday] and will decide depending on the charges whether to file for an anticipatory bail for Swamiji.”

10 Top Indian CEOs

Lakshmi N Mittal

Steel tycoon Lakshmi Niwas Mittal is the richest Indian in the world, with an estimated wealth of $25 billion. He resides in London, has his company registered in the Netherlands, but still holds an Indian passport. Although Mittal Steel was already the world's biggest steel company, his king-sized ambitions were evident when he took over steel giant Arcelor to create a new steel behemoth -- Arcelor-Mittal.

L N Mittal left India in the mid-1970s to start his career. He was sent to Indonesia by his father to shut down the family's ailing steel plant and sell the land. Instead, young Mittal saw an opportunity and turned the plant around.

To prove that this was no fluke, Mittal acquired a 1.3 million tonne, Iscot Steel plant in Trinidad & Tobago, which was losing $100,000 a day. One year of Mittal-style management and it was making profits, the LN Mittal legend was born. That move helped him get into America.

The Mexican government seeing the success that Mittal made of Iscot, asked him to take over their ailing steel plants in 1992. But it was not all that smooth. In 1994 Mittal had differences with his brothers and father, and went on to form his own company. The following year Mittal entered the European market, acquiring the 5 million tonne Kazakh steel plant, Karmet. Meanwhile, Mittal had listed Ispat International on the New York and Amsterdam Stock Exchanges in 1997. Eight years later Mittal Steel became the world's largest steel maker when he took over the US's largest steel producer -- the International Steel Group. He then consolidated all his steel holdings into Mittal Steel.

Malaysian Indian businessmen seek 100,000 workers

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's Indian business community says it needs a foreign workforce of 100,000 as it has exhausted avenues for hiring
locals.

There is a dire need for 100,000 new foreign workers among the Indian business community, Malaysian Associated Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MAICCI) president K.K. Eswaran told The Star newspaper.

He said these workers were required in Indian restaurants, construction, goldsmith outlets, mini-markets and provision shops. "They are also needed in laundries, hairdressing, textile, florists and tailoring outlets."

Other representatives of the Indian business sector here also urged Friday that the problem should be addressed soon. "The associations have tried every means to recruit locals but have been unsuccessful. Some have to delay their production schedule due to the worker shortage," Eswaran said.

He said the Indian businessmen's problems were 'peculiar' as they needed the workers from India, who were well-versed in their respective trade activities. "It is difficult to source for a cook in an Indian restaurant or a craftsman for the goldsmith industry from any other country other than India," he said.

Eswaran observed that goldsmiths now had to have their jewellery designed overseas but if they could recruit new workers, they could save on foreign exchange.

The associations had also requested the government to allow them to be agents for the recruitment of foreign workers in their own sectors. "We will make sure that only bona fide members are allowed to recruit the workers and also to ensure that the workers are not exploited or cheated."

Malaysia is home to nearly two million ethnic Indians, a bulk of whom are Tamils settled here during the British era.

Top 10 batsman in cricket Images

1.Sachin Tendulkar(Ind):

Widely regarded as one of the greatest batsmen in the history of cricket.In 2002, Wisden ranked him the second greatest Test batsman of all time, next to Donald Bradman, and the second greatest one day international (ODI) batsman of all time, next to Viv Richards. Tendulkar was the only player of the current generation to be included in Bradman’s Eleven, the dream team of Donald Bradman, published in his biography.

Tendulkar is the highest run scorer in both Test matches and ODIs, and also the batsman with the most centuries in either form of the game. The first player to score fifty centuries in all international cricket combined, he now has more than eighty international centuries.

On October 17, 2008, when he surpassed Brian Lara’s record for the most runs scored in Test Cricket, he also became the first batsman to score 12,000 runs in that form of the game, having also been the third batsman and first Indian to pass 11,000 runs in Test cricket.

He was also the first player to score 10,000 runs in one-day internationals, and also the first player to cross every subsequent 1000-run mark that has been crossed in ODI cricket history.

Tendulkar surpassed Australia’s Allan Border to become the player to cross the 50-run mark the most number of times in Test cricket history, and also the second ever player to score 10 Test centuries against Australia, after only Sir Jack Hobbs of England more than 70 years back. Tendulkar has been honored with the Padma Vibhushan award, India’s second highest civilian award, and the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award, India’s highest sporting honor.

He is widely regarded as one of the finest batsmen ever. He topped the Test batting rankings on several occasions and holds several cricketing records.

He also holds the record for the highest individual score in a test innings after scoring 400 not out against England at Antigua in 2004.

Remarkably, he is the only batsman to have ever scored a hundred, a double century, a triple century, a quadruple century and a quintuple century in first class games over the course of a senior career. Lara also holds the test record of scoring most number of runs in a single over, when he scored 28 runs off an over by Robin Peterson of South Africa in 2003.

3. Sir Donald George Bradman(AUS):

I know. I know. He is not recent. But how can we leave him!!!

Often referred to as The Don,he was widely acknowledged as the greatest batsman of all time. Bradman’s career Test batting average of 99.94 has been claimed to be statistically the greatest achievement in any major sport.

As a captain and administrator Bradman was committed to attacking, entertaining cricket; he drew spectators in record numbers. He hated the constant adulation, however, and it affected how he dealt with others.

Following an enforced hiatus, due to the Second World War, he made a dramatic comeback, captaining an Australian team known as “The Invincibles” on a record-breaking unbeaten tour of England.

4. Ricky Ponting(Aus):

He is a specialist right-handed batsman, slips and close catching fielder, as well as a very occasional right-arm medium pace bowler.

Ponting reached international standards at a young age for a batsman, making his One Day International and Test debuts in 1995 at the age of 20. However, his progress was not unhindered.

He lost his place in the team several times due to lack of form and discipline issues, before rising to the One Day International captaincy in early 2002 and becoming Test captain in early 2004.

In recent years, he has been consistently ranked in the top-ten batsmen in both One Day International cricket and Test matches in the official ICC ratings, and has been ranked number one for substantial periods.

5. Jacques Kallis(SA):

As an all-rounder he is a talented right-handed batsman and fast-medium swingbowler. He is the only Test cricketer in the history of the game to hold more than 10,000 runs and 250 wickets.

Often criticised for his apparent unwillingness to dominate the opposition and score runs quickly, Kallis has demonstrated increasing willingness to attack with the bat in hand in recent years, and from October-December 2007 produced a remarkable streak of 5 centuries in 4 Test Matches. With 30 Test centuries, one more than Sir Donald Bradman, Kallis has established himself as one of the modern greats of the game.

He was named Leading Cricketer in the World in the 2008 Wisden for his performances in 2007 in addition to being the ICC Test Player of the Year and ICC Player of the Year in 2005.

6. Shaun Pollock(SA):

Considered a bowling all-rounder. From 2000 to 2003 he was the captain of the South African cricket team. He was also chosen as the Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 2003. He took over 400 test wickets and scored over 3,700 test runs in his 107 test match

7. Muttiah Muralidharan(Sri Lanka):

Rated the greatest Test match bowler ever by Wisden Cricketers’ Almanack in 2002.

Muralitharan is the highest wicket-taker in both Test cricket and in One Day Internationals (ODIs). Muralitharan became the highest wicket-taker in Test cricket when overtook the previous record-holder Shane Warne on 3 December 2007 in longer version of the game.

Muralitharan had previously held the record when he surpassed Courtney Walsh’s 519 wickets in 2004. But he suffered a shoulder injury later that year and was then overtaken by Warne

2. Brian Lara:

551696-brian_lara_large

He is widely regarded as one of the finest batsmen ever. He topped the Test batting rankings on several occasions and holds several cricketing records.

He also holds the record for the highest individual score in a test innings after scoring 400 not out against England at Antigua in 2004.

Remarkably, he is the only batsman to have ever scored a hundred, a double century, a triple century, a quadruple century and a quintuple century in first class games over the course of a senior career. Lara also holds the test record of scoring most number of runs in a single over, when he scored 28 runs off an over by Robin Peterson of South Africa in 2003.

3. Sir Donald George Bradman(Eng):

24langer

I know.

4. Ricky Ponting(Aus):

601890-ricky-ponting-australia-cricket

5. Jacques Kallis(SA):

sa_vs_wi5

6. Shaun Pollock(SA):

85054

Considered a bowling all-rounder. From 2000 to 2003 he was the captain of the South African cricket team. He was also chosen as the Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 2003. He took over 400 test wickets and scored over 3,700 test runs in his 107 test matches.

7. Muttiah Muralidharan(Sri Lanka):

murali27_468x551

Rated the greatest Test match bowler ever by Wisden Cricketers’ Almanack in 2002.

Muralitharan is the highest wicket-taker in both Test cricket and in One Day Internationals (ODIs). Muralitharan became the highest wicket-taker in Test cricket when overtook the previous record-holder Shane Warne on 3 December 2007 in longer version of the game.

Muralitharan had previously held the record when he surpassed Courtney Walsh’s 519 wickets in 2004. But he suffered a shoulder injury later that year and was then overtaken by Warne.

8.Stephen Fleming(New Zealand):

Known for his astute tactical abilities, he is New Zealand’s most capped test player with 111 appearances, longest-serving and most successful captain, having led the side to 28 victories and having won Test match series’ against India, England, West Indies, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe.

Fleming played in the 2008 Indian Premier League for the Chennai Super Kings after being signed for US$350,000. On 9 May 2007 Fleming married his long term partner Kelly Payne in a ceremony held in Wellington.

9.Sunil Gavaskar(Ind):

Widely regarded as one of the greatest opening batsman in test match history, Gavaskar set world records during his career for the most runs and most centuries scored by any batsman. He held the record of 34 Test centuries for almost two decades before it was broken by Sachin Tendulkar in December 2005. He was widely admired for his technique against fast bowling.

10. Shoaib Akhtar(Pak):

Blessed with the ability to throw the ball at 160.9 km/hr, the broke all world records. This also earned him the name Rawalpindi Express. His ability to bowl fast yorkers, well disguised slow balls, swinging deliveries, and sharp bouncers made him lethal even on dead pitches.

He has always stuck close to controversy, whether it be about on-field behavior, or about not being a team player.

Top 10 Hardest Hitting Batsmen In World Cricket

Cricket Star Breaks an 'Impossible' Record

Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar reacts after scoring a double-century during the second one-day cricket match between India and South Africa in Gwalior, India, on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2010

1) Sachin Tendulkar

“best batsman alive, he’s god and he bats at no. 4 for india! Brian Lara sucks.

No One walks out to bat with taking the hopes of a billion people to score a century every game and still score 12000 runs in tests and 16000 runs in one days and more than 40 centuries in both forms of the game.Not to forget he peaked in his career when india had one of their weakest teams.

If cricket is religion, Sachin’s the God! He’s is far better than Brian Lara, and talking of Don Bradman, he never even played a one day ...n during his times there was no such competetion even....c’mon guyz this guy shud b at the top.

2) Sir Donald Bradman

SIR DONALD BRADMAN! OMG HAS TO BE NO. 1! 99. 94 His Average! whats tendulkers? IF DONALD PLAYED CRICKET TODAY, OR AS MANY TESTS AS TENDULKER, HE WOULD ABSOLUTLY SMASH tendulker BUTT!

3) Brian Lara

“no one can match his talent

Current holder of that record. Also holder of highest individual test score (500*)”

“Another known for his captain’s knocks. Apart from being a stylish batsman, he holds an average of 58.51, scoring over 10,000 runs in 201 innings.

5) Jacques Kallis

“Apart from perhaps the almost unseen Barry Richards, Kallis would be South Africa’s greatest ever batsman having scored over 9,700 test runs at an average of 55.46.”

6) Sir Garfield Sobers

“Unreal talent. Over 8000 runs at 57.78. Held the record of highest individual test score (365) for many years.”

7) Wally Hammond

“England’s greatest ever batsman. Scored over 7000 runs at an average of 58.45.”

8) Steven Waugh

“Could pull his side out of trouble with a typical skipper’s knock. One of the classiest batsmen of all time. Also scored 32 test centuries.

9) Alan Border

“Managed an average of 50.56 even though he played 265 innings. Over 11000 test runs.

10) Sir Len Hutton

“Another of England’s greats. Average of 56.67 over 138 innings. Over 6,900 runs.

The first one was about top 10 wrestlers. Of course, I got a good amount of criticisms which were constructive.

Cricket is a very popular sporting event with millions of fans across the globe.

As it is a game, it'll have all-time favorites and greatest players.

Today, the list I prepared after crossing various hurdles is the Top-Ten Batsmen of all time.

I know this is a debatable topic, but according to my experience in cricket (watching, not playing), this list will be the one I'll be opting for

Nityananda and Ranjitha Hot news

March 13th Saturday

Nithyananda's Sex Scandal with Ranjitha Holy swami's unholy acts with heroine Ranjitha.

ONE of India's most popular spiritual gurus, who also has a huge following elsewhere in the world, has found himself at the centre of a raging sex controversy.

Angry villagers ransacked his ashram, a religious retreat, in southern India yesterday after television stations aired footage allegedly showing him fondling two unidentified women in bed. Both were said to be Tamil actresses.

The long-haired Mr Paramahamsa Nithyananda, 32, who claims to have devotees in 33 countries, was not present when the villagers stormed the sprawling retreat and smashed furniture, police said.

The guru has claimed the footage was faked.

Indian websites alleged that the tapes were the result of a sting operation carried out in a hotel or at his ashram, located 30km from the software capital of Bangalore. It is an upscale retreat with an ornate temple and a residential complex housing Indian and Western devotees.

The video was aired on Monday by Sun TV, a television station operating in the southern state of Tamil Nadu. It was also aired on TV9 in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh.

In what is being seen as one of the most shocking and unable to digest kind of situation, the noted spiritual leader Paramahamsa Nithyananda’s real side was exposed. A scandalous video was uncovered by the ABN- Andhra Jyothi channel which has begun to make rounds now.

The video shows Nithyananda indulging big time into drinking and getting intimate with a noted Tamil actress. This is not on the backdrop of the slokas of Bhagawad Geetha that he recites but beats of western music. The video has shown explicit scenes of the man with the heroine.

Nithyananda has got devotees and followers not just in India but across the world and this video is just another example to show what they really are. With the Kalki controversy at its peak, it is time people realize what they are getting into by involving with these swamijis.

Handiwork Of Inmate Premananda?

The footage released on 2nd March, that infuriated devotees of Nityananda is now being called fake and morphed by mission spokesmen who claimed that it is the handiwork of Premananda alias Lenin Karuppan, an inmate of the ashram. The footage shows the guru fondling two women, one of them a Tamil actress, Ranjitha, married to an army officer.

People from the mission claim that Nithyananda tried to stop the airing of the footage but the civil court ruled against the guru and the footage was aired. Swamiji’s spokesman appeared in the media with the help of police protection and said that the footage is fake and is nothing but graphics. He said that all this was done to defame the guru as many were jealous of his popularity. He said action will be taken against the concerned person. The petition has been posted to March 8 for further hearing.

The actress in the video, Ranjitha, is still silent and has not yet given any statement. While mission authorities claim the video to be fake, people who stayed in the Ashram have another story to tell. One of the devotees claimed that during the 3 months in summer when he was at the Ashram, he saw the Guru and actress Ranjitha together all the time.

Nithyananda denounced worldly pleasures and became a spiritual Guru at the tender age of 12. He has more than 10,000 ashrams in 33 countries. According to sources the main source of his income are politicians and celebrities.

Actress Ranjitha admits of giving massage to Swami Nithyananda ???

Chennai: Breaking News! According to latest reports, Tamil Actress Ranjitha admitted that she used to give massage to Swami Nithyananda Paramahamsa, as a devoted disciple. She told that in an interview to a Magazine, it is believed. The report is yet to be verified.

The websites such as Andhra Cafe and others reported that Ran [Ranjitha Nithyananda] jitha justified her act, saying she was just doing her service to the Nithyananda as a true devotee and had no regrets. Although the news is not confirmed yet, it is doing round on some of the websites and newspapers.

"As a true devotee, I offered my services like feeding and massaging him regularly in his room. I used to stay with him till late and the ashram inmates knew about it", she reportedly said.

The Tamil TV channel, SUN TV had exposed Swami Nithyananda and Ranjitha in a sex scandal. The video clipping aired by the channel has created a huge uproar in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

It would be better if Ranjitha comes up with a press conference and denounce the allegations levelled against her. Most of her fans believe that she was framed in this case and the video was morphed by some evil minded people. If that's true, Ranjitha can demand justice by going to people's court. She is a good actress and should not be cowed down by such allegations, if they are false.

Nityananda Ranjitha sexual act videographed by former disciple, Lenin Karuppan - all details

The most searched on the net since the last few days has been Nityananda. Everyone has been searching all over the net for Nityananda sex video, Nityananda Ranjitha video, Nityananda sex tape, Nityananda fraud, Nityananda video, Nityananda video of sexual act, Swami Nityananda Ranjitha full video, Nityananda video clippings, Ranjitha hot video etc.

Lastest news and updates on Nityananda :
Everyone was asking where is Nityananda? Who have taken the video recordings of Swami Nityananda and Ranjitha involved in a sexual act? At last it has been revealed that a former disciple of Swami Nityananda, Swami Dharmananda alias Lenin Karuppan had videographed Swami Nithyananda with Tamil Actress Ranjitha. Nityananda's former aide, Karuppan confessed his role in making a video tape of his guru involved in a sexual act.

He has logded a complaint and accused Swami Nithyananda of harassment and criminal intimidation. Chennai Police Commissioner, T Rajendran said that special teams have been formed to secure Swami Nityananda for further investigations.

Swami Dharmananda alias Lenin Karuppan told police that Swami Nityananda was sexually assaulting women visiting the ashram and forced them into unnatural acts of sex. One person had even died in a suspicious manner, whereas another one had attempted suicide in the ashram. Karuppan said that Nityananda has bisexual tendencies. Since Nithyananda often used to meet Ranjitha in the ashram, the former aide decided to secretly videograph the happenings.The Nityananda and Ranjitha full video is available all over the net and people are watching it again and again.

Karuppan admitted that he was Nityananda's faithful devotee since 2004 and alleged that Nityananda used to compare himself to Lord Krishna and his devotees(women) as gopis. He then used to take liberties, which involved acts of physical initmacy.

Karuppan said that last month when Nityananda had come to a function in Tamil Nadu he had threatned Karuppan to deposit the sextapes with him or face severe consequences. Fearing for his life, Karuppan fled their company.

T Rajendra, the Commissioner confirmed that Karuppan had given the complaint and a CD of the bedroom scenes of Nityananda has also been submitted to the police.

KKR look to maintain winning momentum vs CSK

A confident Kolkata Knight Riders would look to maintain their winning momentum after victories in their first two matches and avert the heartbreak two years ago when they take on a wounded Chennai Super Kings in their Indian Premier League match at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Tuesday.

In the inaugural edition in 2008, KKR had beaten Royal Challengers Bangalore and Deccan Chargers in their first two matches - the same two sides they had beaten this year - only to see suffer defeat at the hands of CSK before crashing to a string of losses and never really recover from there.

The celebrations and jigs by Shah Rukh Khan then suddenly came to an end as KKR went on to finish sixth out of eight teams in IPL I, a story that still rankles principal owner Shah Rukh Khan and captain Sourav Ganguly.

KKR have beaten defending champions Deccan Chargers and runners-up Royal Challengers Bangalore in their first two matches and would now to look not to repeat the 2008 experience by beating Mahendra Singh Dhoni's men.

The team think-tank seemed to be extra cautious this time as there have been restrained celebration from the team boss Shah Rukh even after their two consecutive wins.

"We have enough celebration in the first IPL and the hangover still remains. Hope to get some more wins and we will celebrate," said Ganguly following their facile seven-wicket win over Royal Challengers Bangalore.

It was a clinical effort from Ganguly's men who first impressed with their disciplined attack led by Angelo Mathews and Murali Kartik to restrict RCB for 135, and then the makeshift opening pair of Manoj Tiwary and Brad Hodge ensured with their twin half centuries that KKR overhaul the target with four balls to spare.

Hodge and Tiwary's 101-run opening stand must have given Ganguly a relaxed time in the absence of explosive Chris Gayle and Brendon McCullum.

In the bowling department, the pace trio of Ishant Sharma, Charl Langeveldt and Angelo Mathews have done well so far but their big challenge will come when they bowl to the likes of big hitters in Matthew Hayden and Dhoni tomorrow.

Even though Hayden is yet to be a hit form with his high definition Mongoose bat it's just a matter of good start for the opener who scored 17 in their loss against Deccan Chargers last night.

Dhoni will be hoping to forget the disappointing show by his side in their last match which they lost mainly because of a pathetic last over spell from Sudeep Tyagi who conceded 39 runs from his 1.5 overs to be replaced in the last ball of the last over by Justin Kemp.

CSK would look to sort out their bowling at the slow Eden pitch. With 8pm start, dew will also be a concern for both the teams.

Underdogs take on top dogs in Ahmedabad

The two teams playing the first ever IPL match in Ahmedabad present a bit of a contrast. The Rajasthan Royals, even though they were champions in 2008, are perennial underdogs and seem comfortable playing that role. They're the team most fans love to support after their own. They possess the tournament's fastest bowler and perhaps its most destructive batsman but, a few overseas players apart, also a bunch of boys who aren't individually threatening. Their captain, formerly the world's greatest legspinner, is now a glamorous poker player, an expert at staying in fashion and the team's chief inspiration. He spearheads Rajasthan's PR on Twitter, engaging in entertaining and sometimes frivolous banter with his mates, and he's fashioned a team in his own image, one that in his own words "plays to entertain".

There aren't any Delhi Daredevils on Twitter, unless they've been hiding in obscurity, apart from Wayne Parnell. Their players aren't darlings of the media, their owner is in infrastructure not Bollywood, and their captain, who's got into trouble more than once for his on-field temper, is sullen compared to his larger-than-life counterpart. Delhi have few frills and a low-key media presence. They are the team that shows up to get the job done, clinically, and the one most opponents will be a little intimidated by, even if they won't admit it. They have their best foreign players available for the whole tournament, their top five in the batting order is unmatched, and their Indian contingent is among the strongest. No matter who they play and where, Delhi are usually favourites

Confident Daredevils up against dejected Royals

Ahmedabad: On a high after launching their Indian Premier League III campaign on a positive note, title favourites Delhi Daredevils will be looking to carry on their winning momentum against an unpredictable Rajasthan Royals on Monday.

Semi-finalist in the last two editions of the Twenty20 tournament, the Daredevils are desperate to better the mark this time and they began their IPL III campaign in style, beating Kings XI Punjab comprehensively by five wickets at Mohali with skipper Gautam Gambhir leading from the front.

Taming the Royals, however, would be far from a cakewalk since the Shane Warne-led side, powered by Yusuf Pathan's blistering century, nearly pulled off a stunning chase against Mumbai Indians yesterday.

Gambhir, however, can rely on his bowlers who put up an impressive display yesterday, restricting Kings XI Punjab to a modest 142.

Left-arm pacer Dirk Nannes sparkled with the new ball, while Farveez Maharoof, Pradeep Sangwan, Yo Mahesh, Amit Mishra and Tillakaratne Dilshan proved decent enough to deny Kings XI a big score.

On the batting front, Gambhir led from the front with a well compiled 72 while Mithun Manhas and Dinesh Karthik gave him good support at the middle-order.

To add to Rajasthan's woes, the dangerous trio of Virender Sehwag, Dilshan and AB de Villiers are due for runs, having missed on the opportunity in the opening encounter against Kings XI Punjab.

In contrast, Rajasthan Royals, their batting line-up at least, looks more or less a one man army, completely dependent of Yusuf Pathan, who struck the fastest century of the tournament to bring his side close to a famous victory.

Chasing a mammoth 213, Pathan singlehandedly brought the Royals in sight of a victory with a majestic 37-ball 100-run knock but eventually it was heartbreak for the Shilpa Shetty-owned side as they fell short by just four runs.

Paras Dogra too shone with the bat with a quickfire 41 and gave Pathan the much-needed support from the other end.

However, if they wish to turn the tables, Royals top-order, that includes South African captain Graeme Smith and flamboyant Swapnil Asnodkar among others, needs to share Pathan's responsibility.

Apart from Australian pace sensation Shaun Tait and Dimitry Mascarenhas, the Royals bowling department lacks firepower.

Knight Riders beat Royal Challengers by seven wickets

Kolkata: Kolkata Knight Riders produced an all-round performance to score a convincing seven-wicket victory over Bangalore Royal Challengers in the Indian Premier League at the Eden Gardens here Sunday.

After restricting Royal Challengers to 135 for seven, Knight Riders reached the target with four balls to spare, with openers Manoj Tiwary (50) and Brad Hodge (50) sharing a 101-run stand.

It has been a promising start for the Knight Riders, who finished at the bottom of the table last year. They have now beaten defending champions Deccan Chargers and runners-up Royal Challengers in successive matches.

In their first match against Deccan Chargers in Mumbai, Knight Riders had to fight back to win a close encounter.

But in front of the huge local support Sunday, Knight Riders Sunday were clinical in their performance.

Poor start did us in: Dhoni

Chennai: Chennai Super Kings skipper M S Dhoni attributed Sunday night defeat against Deccan Chargers in the Indian Premier League match to the jolts they suffered in the start of the innings.

Sri Lankan paceman Chaminda Vaas unsettled Chennai innings by taking three quick wickets.

Chennai were chasing a total of 191 but all they could manage was 159 for nine.

"When you chase 190, you want a good start but we lost early wickets. And if you lose early wickets, it becomes difficult for other batsmen to chase. "It all depended on the start, that we are capable of getting. Matthew Hayden and Suresh Raina being the big hitters in top of order followed by Justin Kemp and Albie Morkel. We could have got those runs," Dhoni said after the match.

Dhoni was not happy with fast bowlers, who were hit round the park in the clash.

"In the practice sessions during the last ten days, all the bowlers did well and were accurate. This game, may be the pressure got in to them. Hopefully, they will convert what they are doing in the practice games in the reminder of the matches," he said.

He though was satisfied with the show of his spinners and lavished praise on rival batsmen Andrew Symonds and Herschelle Gibbs, who lifted Deccan out of pits with their 95-run stand.

"Spinners did well better than the fast bowlers. Two of best batsmen in Symonds and Gibbs played well and they put pressure on the bowlers. May be I could have used Suresh Raina in the 10th over or so. But it becomes very difficult when you have two off spinners in the eleven. Chepauk is not a very big ground," Dhoni said.

The skipper also supported youngsters Murali Vijay and R Aswin, who he says have a lot of talent.

"Vijay has played just one game and it is not right to decide on today's performance. He is a good batsmen and he has done well in one-day internationals.

"Ashwin has done really well on whatever the opportunities he has got. Last year also he had played a few games and whatever the games he had played he had done well."

Man-of the-match Vaas praised the batsmen of his side for putting up a good total on the board.

"First game was a bit of a bad luck. We did well today. We need to win every game and do like what we did last time and win the Cup. Today, we batted really well upfront.

"Symonds and Gibbs batted well to get 190. We were patient and batted right through out. CSK bowlers did not do any mistakes but we batted really well," he said.

The veteran paceman is also keen to be part of Sri Lanka's one-day team in the World Cup, to be held in the sub-continent next year.

"I have retired only from test cricket but I am still there for limited overs games and 20-20. I am playing competitive cricket back home. Hoping to be play the next World Cup too," he said.

Deccan Chargers beat Chennai Super Kings by 31 runs

Chennai: Defending champions Deccan Chargers roared to a comfortable 31-run victory against the Chennai Super Kings for their first win in two matches of the Indian Premier League Twenty20 cricket tournament here Sunday.

After posting a huge total of 190 for four in 20 overs, the Chargers pegged the Super Kings for a fine victory following their shock defeat to Kolkata Knight Riders Friday.

The Super Kings contributed to their own downfall, first with some ordinary bowling at the death and then shot selection while chasing the total.

A touch of haste born out of anxiety saw Super Kings losing wickets early in their chase and the Chargers looked well on way to a comfortable victory.

Mumbai Indians have won the toss and elected to bat first. As we know, the pitch of the ground looks flat and would help the first team to make good runs.

According to the analysts, this match is once again going to be close encounter, as we find out yesterday when Kolkata Knight Riders took over Deccan Chargers at the same pitch.

Though, we can say that it would be the neck to neck fight between Sachin Tendulkar and Shane Warne.

Sachin is the captain of Mumbai Indians at the same time Warne leads Rajasthan Royals.

Live Kings XI Punjab vs Delhi Daredevils IPL T20 Score and Commentary

Saturday, March 13, 2010: Today is the 2nd day of IPL 2010 season third and there will be a live match between the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) vs. Delhi Daredevils (DD). The match will start at 2000 (1430 GMT). This time DD looks much stronger in T20 matches in comparison of KXIP. Kings XI Punjab can be seen as and injury ridden team. So there is some suspense over the good

Punjab has been suffered by the absence of many players and injuries in the IPL 2010 in the T20 matches. It’s a matter of great concern as the match will be played in their hometownPunjab. Especially there is a speculation over the playing of Yuvraj Singh and Brett Lee will not play the today’s IPL T20 live match against DD. The KXIP’s IPL history too seems like a bad crime novel as they have lack of twist and turns with so much villains and no lead player.

IPL T20 cricket gained the bottom four. They were hindered last year IPL live series by Jerome Taylor pulling out and the absence of some great Australian players but the fact that plays a main role is the bad cricket by the Indian players. Delhi Daredevils have no issue of bad performance in the ground of IPL T20 series. It’s the time to perform perfectly and they are ready too for the level to dive. They have the extra-ordinary balance and their topmost player is in the team in which Daniel Vettori is the prior of the list.

In the International Cricket, DD have the opening pair, the dual power of David Warner and Tillakaretne Dilshan and AB de Villiers to follow. They feel the lack of only Ashish Nehra who is suffering from the rib injury.Delhi Daredevil is confident but we can’t ignore Kings XI Punjab as cricket is a game of uncertainty.

Yesterday, 12th March 2010, Opening Ceremony of Indian Premiere League - IPL Season 3 took place at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.

On the other hand Hyderabad’s Deccan Chargers became the surprise winners of second IPL tournament.

Due to security concerns and controversies regarding Pakistani players the excitement was quite low for this time of IPL’s tournament.

There were speculations of attacks from al-qaeda during the tournament of IPL, commonwealth games and hockey world cup which made the spectators worried about their safety.

This concern has made the authorities more apprehensive for the safety of the players as wellas the spectators.

Sharad Pawar to stay away from IPL's opening match

MUMBAI: When IPL opens on Friday night at the DY Patil Stadium with an interesting tussle between Deccan Chargers and Kolkata Knight Riders, former BCCI chief Sharad Pawar will be conspicuous by his absence.

Sources said he is upset with IPL honchos. "The Mumbai Cricket Association will boycott IPL as we have been totally ignored," said Lalchand Rajput, MCA joint secretary. "Our president Pawar will also do the same," he added. The MCA is livid over not being given any tickets to the Mumbai games.

Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) president Sharad Pawar and other office-bearers of the associaton are set to boycott the Indian Premier League’s opening match at the DY Patil Stadium on Friday as they have not been given any tickets to the Mumbai games. It is already a known fact that certain circles within the BCCI are not happy with IPL commissioner Lalit Modi’s autocratic ways. This time, it looks like things have gone out of hand.

"We haven’t been given any passes or tickets for any of the games in Mumbai. We had brought this to the IPL’s notice and also written to BCCI president Shashank Manohar but our pleas seem to have fallen on deaf ears," explained Rajput. Mumbai is to host 11 matches of the IPL, besides the opening ceremony.

While Pawar is sure to be invited in his individual capacity, the cold shoulder to MCA officials and its affiliated clubs has apparently upset him. "It is indeed a big step for Pawar. But he is concerned and is expressing his displeasure through this boycott," stressed Rajput.

The MCA has been flooded with phone calls from former Test players, Ranji captains, first-class players and affiliated clubs’ officials who had all got passes/tickets for all BCCI games, including the IPL matches, during the first edition. "We got 20% of the tickets and passes during the opening IPL season, which are meant for former and present players and affiliated clubs. But this year we haven’t got a single ticket or invite," said Rajput.

The MCA, it may be recalled had hosted 10 matches for the IPL in the first edition in 2008. For that, it had to delay Wankhede Stadium’s renovation. "It’s demeaning in a way. The MCA has not been taken into confidence," said Rajput.

Africa Cup of Nations: Young Ghana team falter in the final

A day after it announced a joint venture with Discovery Communications and IMAX to create a new 24-hour 3D channel that will launch in 2011, Sony maintained its 3D momentum at the CES show in Las Vegas.

The company’s big 3D news at its CES press event Wednesday was that it will be an official sponsor of the new 3D network from cable sports giant ESPN, and the exclusive 3D sponsor of the 2011 BCS National Championship Game, 13 regular season college football games and Summer X Games. ESPN will use Sony professional HD cameras to produce the events for the 3D channel, which kicks off in June with up to 25 matches from the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.

ESPN president George Bodenheimer said the network was “incredibly excited” about the opportunity to work with Sony to promote 3D technology and said the collaboration made sense for both parties.

“We know sports fans drive new technology,” said Bodenheimer. “We saw that when we launched ESPN HD back in 2003.”

Bodenheimer noted that when ESPN first got into HD, it had one network and 100 HD telecasts in the first year. Now it produces 4000 HD telecasts annually across four HD networks.

Sony Chairman Howard Stringer said that besides the ESPN deal and a previously announced 3D initiative with the 2010 World Cup, Sony is also working with the PGA Tour to produce golf in 3D. Sony is also building a 3D Technology Center at the Sony Pictures lot in Culver City, Calif., and partnering with CBS to create the first consumer research initiative for 3D, the Sony 3D Experience. It will be headquartered in Las Vegas at CBS’ existing consumer research facility at the MGM Grand hotel and run by CBS research chief David Poltrack.

Stringer brought teenage pop star Taylor Swift, Sony’s new brand ambassador, onstage to give a live performance that was captured with 3D cameras and projected on a large display behind the stage. Discovery CEO David Zaslav and IMAX CEO Richard Gelfond also joined Stringer to promote the joint venture and showcase the type of 3D content that will be seen on the new 3D channel.

After viewing the 3D footage, Stringer quipped: “Imagine ‘Shark Week’ in 3D-we’ll have to provide everyone who signs up for the network with a defibrillator.”

Sony Electronics president and COO Stan Glasgow said Sony will launch a full 3D integrated Bravia LCD TV in 2010, which will be packaged with two pairs of active-shutter glasses as well as a built-in transmitter to operate the glasses. Sony will also sell two other series of 3D-capable models that will have many of the same features, but the active shutter glasses and “3D Sync Transmitter” will be sold separately.

Sony will also launch a new 3D-capable Blu-ray player, and Stringer said that that existing Playstation 3 units will be able to play 3D Blu-ray discs through a software upgrade.

Stringer, who joined the audience in donning 3D glasses for the demonstrations, emphasized Sony’s end-to-end support for 3D from production to display technology and called 3D a “perfect example of how we’ll marshal all of our resources to present the next great consumer experience.”
